The Austrian matches team wins record since 2011 !

The first win of the season at Istanbul was not meant to be the last one for the season for Red Archer !! Fabio Sixta proved his recent form and managed to grab a last minute P2 (was even pole man for few minutes) in Silverstone qualifying session giving himself the chance to follow plan A from the start.

The other "archer" in this race Matthias Muuss was once again victim of a bad qualifying and lap 1 accidents that forced him box and drive a heavily damaged car at a hopeless race. However to his honor he drove til the very last lap chasing all the chances for even a single point which finally he did not get finishing P20 since only 3 cars did not finish the race. Heads up for Matthias who receives full support and confidence from the entire team crew.

Back to Fabio's race which was not exactly a fairy tale ! Bock that started in pole was far from easy to overake and that happened couple laps before the first pit stop which Fabio finished first and when other cars had finished their stops he was cleanly in front. The second stint of the race was actually a good chance to drive solid and push for a gap spread til the second stop.

Out of the second stop Fabio found traffic from drivers with different strategy that would not pit soon. Overtaking at Silverstone was never easy especially when you have to overtake high class drivers. Fabio suffered from Kweekel's defence for several laps while his opponents were then close enough to rise adrenaline very high for the last laps of the race !

At that very moment of the race the Austrian ace pushed his red/black car to its physical limits driving professionally the final laps without allowing any driver to pose a threat for the win !

The chequered flag was there waiting Sixta for the second time this season, the second time this Summer and the second time in one month putting fire to drivers' and constructors' championships before the Summer break !

The win at Silverstone was a record match for the team since the historical title winning season in 2011 when Jason Muscat had won Austrian and Mexican Grand Prix !

Next GP at Germany in 3 weeks and the "archers" are looking forward for a strong second half of the season !
